Dancing Canadian Police Officer Breaks Internet

TorontoOshawa constable Jarrod Singh has gone viral on social media, busting his moves and bringing new meaning to the phrase “walking a beat.”

Responding to a call about a fight in downtown Oshawa, Ontario, Canada on Sunday night. Instead, he found a local university dance troupe shooting a dance video and decided to join in the fun.

For Singh, the fun was undeniable but he also saw it as an opportunity to connect on a positive level with the youth in his community. At a time when police have been receiving some negative exposure, Constable Singh voiced his thoughts on seeing police officers as human beings first saying, “we have interests, we have hobbies too.”

By Monday morning the video had already garnered 10,000 views.  That has expanded rapidly to just under one million views.
