Rabat – Strong thunderstorms are set to hit several regions Thursday and Friday, announced the National Directorate of Meteorology (DMN).
Storms and heavy rain showers are currently affecting the provinces of Casablanca, Mohammedia, Benslimane, Rabat, Skhirat-Témara, Salé, Kénitra, Larache, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane and Nouacer, according to a special DMN weather report.

Rising waters unleashed floods, cutting off access to the Rabat Tramway and upsetting road conditions.
ONCF announced that, following the heavy rain that occurred in the region of Rabat-Sale, rising waters flooded the railway tracks of the Salé Tabrique train station, causing an interruption to rail traffic.
ONCF added that its technical teams have been mobilized and dispatched to the train station to attend to the complications.
The provinces of Chafchaoeun, Al Hoeima, Tetouan,Taounate, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Ouazzane, Meknes, Moulay Yacoub, Fez, El Hajeb, Khénifra and Khouribga, will be battered by storms from Thursday around 6 pm until noon on Friday. added the DMN. These showers will be accompanied by hail.
