Med’Ociation- “White Coats on Stage”
Rabat’s faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy’s music club is holding a concert titled “White Coats on Stage.” The faculty will host five bands from various musical genres: Arab Orchestra, Flamengo, S7ab El Ghiwan and Gnawa, Rai, and Classical music. The Life of Nomad People, Plants and Animals
The conference aims to introduce the lifestyle of Moroccan desert nomads, which continues to be as it has been for centuries. Organizers of the conference explain that, with the influence of communication technology, nomads can connect with the rest of us to share their traditions with the “outside world” more than ever. The event takes place March 14, AYASO Store, Marrakech.
Hiba Tawaji in Casablanca and Rabat
Lebanese singer, actress, director, and semi- finalist at the 2015 “Voice France” Hiba Tawaji, will perform a concert to entertain the Moroccan public. She will be accompanied by composer and conductor, Oussama Rahbani, as well as 11 musicians and choristers. You can choose from two concerts, March 17, Megarama, Casablanca or March 18, Theater Mohamed V, Rabat.
In Concert: Raskas & Wana Mali
The two bands Raskas and Wanamali will perform an experimental rock concert to amuse fans of rock music.
Raskas is a band from Casablanca, formed in 2013 and is now composed of three members; A sound programmer, a guitar player and the last to come on board, a multi-instrumentalist presented as the bass player.
Wanamali is a Casablanca-based rock band that formed in late 2016 by singer-songwriter Zouhair Mejd, with Said Bahouch on bass, and Abdelhadi Chrouki on drums. Their sound is combination of contemporary alternative rock melodies, 90’s solid grunge riffs and lyrics in Darija.
MasterClass Theater with Terry Baum
American actress, director and screenwriter, Terry Baum, a pioneer of women’s rights in American theater, will offer a training class in storytelling, improvisation, script writing and theatrical production. As well, she will offer an analysis of the characters of the Russian play “Cherry Orchard” by Anton Chekhov. March 15, Connect Institute, Agadir.
