11 Kg of Chira Seized at Bab Sebta Crossing Point

Morocco MPs to study benefits of looser cannabis laws

Rabat – Moroccan authorities on Sunday seized 11 kg of cannabis resin (Chira) and arrested a man at the border crossing point of Bab Sebta (north of Morocco), customs sources said.

During a joint routine operation, police and customs services seized 11 kg of chira which were concealed in a Spain-registered car driven by a Moroccan national living in Spain, the sources added.

The man intended to smuggle the banned substance into the occupied city of Sebta, according to the same sources.
