Rabat – Senegal will be the country of honor at the 7th annual International Forum for Traditional Industry, to be held April 4 to 24 at March 3rd square, in Ouarzazate.
The presence of Senegal as the country of honor will be in line with Morocco’s return to the African Union and its initiatives towards South-South development in the continent.
The forum has chosen “Our Fingers” as the slogan for this year’s event.The 7th edition of the forum intends to bring together national and international craftsmen and artisans to highlight topics and issues related to the development of traditional industry and the promotion of foreign exchange.
This event is set to be organized by the Federation of Traditional Industry and the Chamber of Handicraft of Draa-tafilalt region in coordination with the Urban Community of Ouarzazate and the Regional Council of Ouarzazate and the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Handicraft, Social Economy and Solidarity.
The forum will be a “socio-economic and cultural event, unique of its kind throughout the region of the south-east of the Morocco,“ said the event’s organizers in a press release.
“This forum remains one of the flagship events that is becoming significantly important every year thanks to the number of participants and the quality of the products presented,” they added
The forum aims also to provide Moroccan artisans with the opportunity to share their experiences with the foreign professional attendees, as well as to encourage them to promote Moroccan products at the international level.
This edition will be marked by the presence of more than 300 local, national and international artisans.
