Rabat – Emirates took to Facebook to release plans for it’s new APR001 airbus on Friday. It wasn’t long before the April Fools Day jig was up with Facebook users.
It had to be too good to be true. The computer-generated plans showed a triple-decker cross-section of a new Emirates design, promising to be the largest commercial aircraft in the world when it’s launched.
Boredom over long flights would no longer be a problem if this design ever took to the skies… An aircraft to cater to a host of recreational activities on its three floors, including a swimming pool, park, a games room and a gym. Sadly, for air travelers, it’s not to be.
Facebook users took the news with a good deal of humour, joking about it being an April Fool’s day joke. Some made comments about how the swimming pool would function during turbulence.
- “Lucky it is April Fools day. Imagine that pool water going everywhere during turbulence”
- “Nice April fool’s joke? which got me for a second. I was actually wondering how all that water would be contained during turbulence. But it’ll be great to fine-tune this dream for it to become a reality.”
- So what will happen if you are in the middle of a swim and a big turbulence occur?… oh well…i guess foolish ideas are coming out on April’s Fools Day…??
And who says big corporations don’t have a sense of humour…
