Rabat – At least 21 people were killed on Sunday in a blast at a Coptic Christian church in northern Egypt during a ceremony celebrating Palm Sunday, local media reported.
50 other people were injured, according to the same source, which added that the cause of the attack has not been revealed yet.
Following the attack, videos have emerged on social media platforms, showing a large crowd gathered outside the church, yelling and shouting.
This is not the first time the Christian’s minority is targeted in Egypt. In December 2016, 25 people died in an explosion at the Coptic cathedral in Cairo.
