Madrid – The Spanish paper “La Razon” on Saturday highlighted the beauty of the kasbahs and landscapes of southern Morocco, which allow the visitor to discover “the most authentic Morocco”.
In an article entitled “Morocco: the road of a thousand kasbahs”, the Iberian daily invites tourists to hit the road from Marrakech to Ouarzazate, a gateway to the desert which has hosted the filming of famous films such as “Lawrence of Arabia”,” “Babel” or “Kingdom of the Heaven”.
The Spanish paper also points out that this road passes through Tichka Pass, 2,260 meters above sea level, “a perfect place to contemplate the fabulous scenery”, highlighting the beauty of the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which is in the list of the heritage of humanity since 1987.
“Ait Ben Haddou is actually a ksar (set of kasbahs), one of the best preserved, most spectacular and best known in Morocco”, the author of the article says, noting that part of this celebrity is due to the filming of blockbusters like “Gladiator” or the series “Game of Thrones”.
