A video released on pop singer Saad Lamjarred’s official YouTube channel shows him walking and dancing through Paris with fans and family, celebrating his temporary release from prison.
Lamjarred was temporarily released under electronic surveillance on Thursday, April 13 after spending almost six months in prison. He was arrested on October 25, 2016 at the Marriott Champs Elysées in Paris to face charges of rape.
The singer’s temporary release came following a request by the prosecution to postpone the trial.
The video, which has received nearly 1,500,000 views since being published on April 16, begins with a message to his fans: “This video was especially made for you dearest fans. My parents and I, can’t find words to thank you all for the love and support you’ve showed us through our hardest time. God bless you all. With love, Saad Lamjarred.”
