Rabat – The Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) signed, Tuesday in Rabat, two technical support agreements, worth USD 430.
Signed by Minister of Economy and Finance, Mohamed Boussaid, and IDB chairman, Bandar Mohammad Hamza Hajjar, the agreements aim to contribute to the financing and implementation of two studies meant to support the national employment strategy and participatory financing in Morocco.
Boussaid praised the signing, saying that the IDB’s contribution is another step forward in a constructive cooperation and reflects the Bank’s attention to supporting Moroccan institutional capacities.
He also thanked the chairman of IDB Group for his work towards in the economic and social development of Morocco.
For his part, Bandar Mohammad Hamza Hajjar hailed the excellent relations between the IDB and Morocco, underlining the bank’s readiness to finance Moroccan economic and social development projects.
The agreements were signed on the sidelines of the annual joint meetings of the Arab financial institutions, held in Rabat under the patronage of King Mohammed VI.
