Rabat – The now-infamous singer Saad Lamjarred appears to have made a major “cleanup” on social media, with the pictures and videos posted following his temporary release from prison no longer found on any social media platform.
Lamjarred’s video posted on Instagram and Youtube thanking his fans after his temporary release has been wiped off from the two platforms.
While the video had delighted some of his fans, it also shocked other observers who considered its “triumphant tone” inappropriate, considering that the singer is still under investigation for aggravated rape and aggravated voluntary violence.
Other photos posted on both Instagram and Facebook, some of which received over a million views, were also deleted.
Since his temporary release from Fleury-Merogis prison on April 13 under electronic surveillance, the star has been very discreet on social networks.
According to some media reports, the social media blackout is due to the intervention of his lawyer, Eric Dupond-Moretti, who apparently is not a big fan of Lamjarred’s supporters.
A video posted by the Atlas Info site shows the attorney forcing his client’s fans, who came to support the singer at the court of appeal, to stay away from him, declaring that they “did not do him any service.”
