Rabat – The Nador International Film Festival has chosen to celebrate Bollywood cinema during its 2017 annual event. As part of the celebration, internationally acclaimed Indian film star Shahrukh Khan has been invited by festival organizers to participate in the event. The actor has not yet responded.
Scheduled for July 3-8, the sixth Annual Nador International Film Festival will be dedicated to honoring “India, a great nation in film production, which continues to nourish the imagination of cinema lovers.”
Bollywood star, Shahrukh Khan, has not yet confirmed his participation in the festival. The organizers have, however, received confirmation that celebrated Indian actor and television personality, Ravi Kishan Shukla, will be in attendance.
The organizers of the one and only film festival in Nador say that the “Nador International Festival of Cinema has nothing more to prove.”
“The festival has matured over time, thanks to the support of professionals and amateurs, citizens and foreigners. The festival continues its growth journey year after year.”
The festival’s previous themes have remained “closely related to the Mediterranean, because of the deep-rooted strategic, historical and cultural factors, that connect the Mediterranean to Morocco, said the event’s organizers in a communiqué.”
The 2017 Nador International Film Festival will, however, diverge from its previous themes to celebrate cinema from South East Asia.
India is “a country that breathes cinema. It encourages and celebrates it through the magic that emanates all its historical heritage: the Ganges, the Taj Mahal, Maharadjas, the fragrances, the flavors, the colors, the dances and of course Bollywood stars such as Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai, and others whose charisma bursts the big screen,” according to the same source.
