Rabat – Morocco’s National Library will host the second edition of Sustainable Engineering Forum (SID) on May 17 and 18 in Rabat. Organized, by the NGO Mouvement Des Ingenieurs, the forum will highlight achievements of the most successful investments and business institutions in Africa, aiming to strengthen the spirit of sharing and solidarity among African engineers.
Several renowned companies will participate in this edition to discuss the use of information technology to improve the quality of business and investments in Africa.
The world of business is undergoing positive change. Everything is becoming digital, including marketing, investments and trade. Digitalization has become one of the most essential elements for its effective role in the acceleration and development of economic sectors in the African continent.
Given these developments, the event will hold a competition entitled “StartUp IT Innovation Challenge” for the benefit of rising startups. The symposium will also focus on informing engineers on this topic and encouraging them to share their experiences.
The forum will be marked by the participation of governmental and non-governmental organizations, business institutions and foundations in the presence of Moroccan prominent figures, including Head of Government Saad Eddine Othmani, Secretary of State to the Minister of Agriculture, Marine Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests Hamou Ouheli and Secretary of State to the Minister of Housing and Urbanism, in charge of housing Fatna Lkhiyel.
Mohammed Laaraj, the Minister of Culture and Communication, and Mohammed Hassad, the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Vocational Training, will also take part in the event.
