Saad Eddine Othmani Urges Ministers to Use Social Media

Othmani to Launch Anti-Corruption Commission Amid Opposition Resistance

Rabat – Saad Eddine Othmani, Head of Government instructed his cabinet ministers to pay attention to the importance of social networking platforms which enable direct interaction between the government and citizens.

According to the daily newspaper Al-Sabah, El Othmani urged ministers to keep pace with technological advances, adding that an evolution of digital management should also include the improvement of “mentalities” and not just techniques.

During the opening of a coordination meeting with general secretaries of different ministries held on Tuesday in Rabat, El Othmani stressed that his government will provide better public services and will endeavor to implement all promised public policies.

He went on to add that integrity and transparency are the two main pillars of success in public administration reforms efforts in pace with the development of society and the needs of citizens, which are top government priorities.

El Othmani stated that digital management has become a necessity in our digital age, saying it helps to accelerate Morocco’s digital strategy, facilitate access to public services for citizens, enhance transparency, and eliminate corruption.
