Rabat – The Minister of Interior Abdelouafi Laftit has stated that the current meeting of the ministerial delegation with organizations and residents of Al Hoceima is a not just a “periodic reaction,” but a continuation of sustained development efforts.
Meetings with the residents of the city of Al Hoceima and different organizations have taken place since the arrival of the ministerial delegation to the northern city on Monday 22. Laftit, who reiterated that the travel of the delegation to the city follows “sovereign instructions,” said the development project are not mere “periodic reaction.”
“The state considers the development of the area a strategic matter and not a periodic reaction,” said the official. “And the government’s efforts are serious.”
Laftit called on the authorities to “endorse the policy of dialogue,” which embodies the “sovereign propensities.”
He added that King Mohammed VI gives the area a “special position,” and that he has “always” supported development projects.
The minister also spoke about the objectives of the delegation’s visit to the northern city, asserting that “the interacting with the needs of the residents and finding practical solutions to contain the energy of the youth” rank high among the priorities of the delegation.
Laftit emphasized that the delegation’s visit will extend to all the regions of the northern area of Morocco, and that they have devised a strategy that responds to the needs of the residents of the northern city of Nador.
