Rabat – On Saturday evening three people were killed and 21 were injured when a coach flipped on a major road to Rabat.
MAP has reported that a coach headed to Rabat from Mehdia beach on June 10 overturned around 19:30, just minutes before the breaking of the fast.
Authorities are to investigate the circumstances of the accident, which caused three fatalities. Eight of the 21 injured are in serious condition.
This road accident comes days after 12 people including a baby were killed and 39 more were injured after a coach overturned in Khenifra.
There are over 3,000 deaths each year in Morocco because of roads accidents.
The General Directorate for National Security has reported that during just one week in May, 18 people were killed and 1,624 were injured in 1,309 road accidents.
