The newspaper claimed that Ronaldo “desires to leave Spain and Real Madrid” after prosecutors in Madrid filed a tax fraud complaint against him,The news went viral, making the Los Blancos fans and sports outlets desperate to know the validity of the news.
British platform, BBC Sports, reported that the 32-year-old footballer “does not want to stay in Spain at the moment” and that he is looking forward to leave “because he is very sad and disappointed.”
The footballer is accused of four crimes against the public treasury between 2011 and 2014, including tax fraud worth USD 65.5 million.
The player led Real Madrid to win both Spanish and European competition titles, namely La Liga and Champions League. The footballer’s release clause at his current team is EUR 1 billion.
