Rabat – Moroccan stocks registered a 0.01 percent gain to 12.327 points around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning, as shares in the mining sector drove the MASI higher.
Two mining companies are at the top performers of today’s session in term of trade volume. Miniere Touissit headed the list with a 5 percent gain at MAD 1,470 per dividend, registering MAD 900K of the exchanged volumes of the central market.
In second place comes Snep with a 1.68 percent gain at MAD 442, marking a volume of MAD 784,000, followed by Managem which registered an increase of 0.67 percent trading at MAD 1,500, with a volume of MAD 742,000.
HPS is the worst performer of Tuesday’s session so far, with a 2.65 percent loss at MAD 1,212, followed by a 2.43 percent drop for Sonasid, whose shares fell to MAD 400. The company lost foot after a euphoric session yesterday, when it rose to a 5-year high, rising to 7.83 percent and trading at MAD 1,280.
M2M Group seems to be recovering after an acute drop yesterday of 2.64 percent at MAD 293, gaining this morning 2.39 percent at MAD 300 per dividend.
The Euro is stagnating after its 0.07 percent drop yesterday to MAD 10.99, while the USD/MAD fell 0.02 percent to MAD 9.65.
At the moment, the Casablanca Listing volumetry points to the MAD 4 million. Gains in the mining sector are expected to drive the MASI up throughout the day.
