2 Killed, 8 Injured in Road Accident in Morocco

Rabat – A grand taxi and pick-up truck crashed on a road outside Khemisset on Sunday night, killing two people and injuring eight others to varying degrees of severity.

The accident took place around 10:30pm on regional road 409, which links the rural commune of Ait Yadine with the north-central city of Khemisset, 90 kilometers from the capital Rabat.

According to reports, the two deceased are the taxi driver and one of his passengers.

Two of the injured were taken to Rabat’s Ibn Sina University Hospital while the others were taken to Khemisset’s local hospital.

An investigation has begun to determine the circumstances of the accident.
