Rabat – The beach of Imsouane, a surf town 82 kilometers north of Agadir, has been named one of the 27 beautiful in the world by Forbes.
The 24-year-old beach town and surfing haven with a population of 8,866 was chosen as one of the world’s best in a survey of 20 women “superstar travel photographers and Instagrammers.”
“It was one of the longest waves I have ever surfed, plus the gorgeous backdrop of mountains cascading to the beach,” writes environmental photographer Meg Haywood Sullivan.
“Imsouane is a must-see for all those adventure seeking travelers out there who want a dose of culture mixed with remote paradise.”
In addition to its well-known favorable surfing conditions, which have led to the construction of many hostels, tourist cafes, and surf clubs through the town, Imsouane also hosts a notable fishing industry.
