Washington – As of today, the electronic Diversity Visa Lottery is down for maintenance on the dvlottery.gov website. It has been down since October 10, this past Tuesday. The electronic Diversity Visa lottery otherwise known as the green card lottery was opened on October 3 of 2017 and will close on November 7, 2017.
Each year, more than 50,000 randomly selected foreigners to be selected for permanent residence in the United States. There are some requirements for qualification to enter into the lottery.
An individual must have worked at least two jobs that require at least two years of experience in, or must have completed at least 12 years of schooling. However if you and a spouse enter, if either of you win, you can both immigrate to the United States. More of the requirements can be found on travel.state.gov. Just in 2015 alone, there were 139,008 applicants from Morocco and 113,309 were selected as entrants.
