Rabat – Strong thunderstorms, rain, and wind gusts of up to 60 kilometers per hour are forecasted to affect several regions of Morocco for three days.

Temperatures will be relatively high in the south-west of the southern provinces, reaching 23 to 27 degrees Celcius, while the reliefs and the eastern highlands will see lower temperatures of 12 degrees Celcius.

Meanwhile, temperatures from 13 to 18 degrees Celcius will be felt in the Mediterranean, the Oriental region, the phosphates plates and Oulmes and the north of the southeast slopes, and of 18 to 23 degrees Celcius on the plains and north and central coasts, the Souss, the south-east of the country, and the southern provinces.

Hurricane Ophelia, which reached the Azores this weekend, is the reason behind the rise in temperatures over most of Morocco this weekend.
