Rabat – Moroccan authorities have arrested four people in Oujda allegedly in possession of suspicious materials and equipment that could put lives at risk.
A statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) said that the Oujda police department conducted a joint-operation on Saturday with the Royal Gendarmerie on the basis of DGSN intelligence.
The principal suspect was arrested in Oujda and three accomplices were arrested at a toll station on the highway, in possession of 200 gas bombs and 11 electric batons.
The suspects were placed in custody for further investigation to determine other suspects involved in the operation.
