Doing good deeds often leads to happy endings. The innocent intention of a Moroccan expatriate earned him a job after he had been unemployed for 6 years.
Rabat – A Moroccan national living in Cartigliano, Italy, received a job offer after returning a lost wallet with €900 inside it.
Omar Chamkhou, 59, was walking with his wife along a bank in Brenta when he suddenly noticed a wallet left on the ground, reported Italian news outlet Il Giornale Di Vicenza on Thursday.
The next morning, Chamkhou handed the wallet over to its rightful owner by turning it in to the police who rapidly tracked down the owner.
The wallet owner, who preferred to remain anonymous, returned the favor to Chamkhou, who has been unemployed for 6 years, by helping him to find a job in the company he works for.
Chamkhou will start working as a laborer at the Finco Tannery in San Lazzaro on Monday.
