The Moroccan National Provincial Tourist Office’s participation in the 26th Arabian Travel Market in Dubai earned Morocco Best Stand Award for its exquisite traditional Moroccan-styled setting.
Rabat – Morocco’s stand at the 26th Arabian Travel Market in Dubai won the Best Pavilion Award for its superb design.
The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) represented Morocco at the four-day travel and tourist event, which kicked off on Sunday, April 28, drawing over 2,800 participants from across 90 countries.
The Moroccan stand, set on a 200 meter square area, consisted of a fusion of traditional Moroccan elements of the “riad” (a house with a courtyard) and “dar” (house) with a courtyard, where Moroccan tea was served by a Moroccan-styled fountain.
The market also awarded other stands for Best Stand for Doing Business, claimed by Dubai; Best Stand within Travel Tech Show at ATM, which went to the UK-based company Travelport; Best Stand Feature, which went to Turkey; and Best Stand Personnel, which Saudi Arabia earned.
Mohamed Sadek Chaker, the director of the regional representation of the ONMT in Abu Dhabi, told Maghreb Arab Press (MAP) said that choosing Morocco out of the 365 others was a reward for Morocco’s traditional architectural art.
He added that Morocco’s pavilion drew a large number of tourism operators from the Gulf and media representatives covering the fair.
