A 17-year-old boy was walking down a street towards his home when he was attacked.
Rabat – A young Spanish-Moroccan boy sustained injuries after a masked man assaulted him and threw acid on his face on Friday, May 3, 2019, while he was walking down the street towards his home in the town of Casp, in Zaragoza, Spain.
The 17-year-old boy was initially hospitalized at Alcaniz hospital in the city of Teruel, a mountainous area eastern Spain, just before being transferred by helicopter to a hospital called Miguel Servet in Zaragoza due to the severity of the injuries, according to Spanish newspaper ABC.
The victim has lived with his family in the Casp area of Spain for years and is “fully integrated into the Caspolina society,” according to Jesus Senante who is the mayor of the municipality in Zaragoza.
Mayor Senante described the boy as a good student.
The organic unit of the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard of Zaragoza has taken over the investigation, saying: “No line of investigation is ruled out.”
