The filming authorization is valid for one renewable year.
Rabat – During its weekly meeting on Thursday in Rabat, the government adopted the draft decree No. 2.19.170 on the conditions of obtaining a filming authorization for the electronic press to carry out an audiovisual production for its own account. The draft sets the authorization steps in accordance with Article 35 of Law No. 88.13 concerning the press and publishing.
In its first paragraph, Article 35 states that once they have met the requirements of Article 21 of the law, electronic newspapers become eligible for a year-long filming permission.
Issued by the Moroccan Cinema Center (CCM) for audiovisual production, the authorization is renewable for one further year, indicated the government’s spokesperson Mustapha El Khalfi in a press conference after the weekly governmental meeting.
In order to obtain the filming permission, the editor of the news outlet must submit a request to the CCM director attached to a technical paper made in accordance with the attached form.
Applicants receive a receipt from the CCM’s Bureau of Order after submitting the required documents. The CCM examines applications in up to 8 days, starting from the day of the deposit. After evaluation, CCM sends an acceptance or refusal note to the address inscribed in the authorization demand.
The draft decree also stipulates that CCM must regularly make a list of the news outlets that have received the filming permission and publish it on its official website
