Hot weather will persist until Wednesday across Moroccan regions, with temperatures expected to be as high as 45°C.
Rabat – Hot weather is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday, and temperatures are set to vary from 39°C to 45°C, the National Directorate of Meteorology said on Monday.
In the cities of Aousserd, Assa-Zag, Boujdour, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Es-Semara, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Guelmim, Oued Ed-Daha, Taroudant, Tiznit, Tata, Tan-Tan, Tarfaya, Sidi Ifni and Laâyoune, hot temperatures will be between 41°C to 45°C.
The heatwave, with temperatures between 39°C and 42°C, will hit the following provinces: Benslimane, Berrechid, Khemissat, Kelaa des Sraghna, Marrakech, Mediouna, Fkih Ben Salah, Nouacer, Rehamna, Sale, Settat, Sidi Bennour, Sidi Slimane, Youssoufia, Rabat, Skhirat, and Temara.
On Wednesday, maximum temperatures of 40°C to 44°C are expected in the provinces of Aousserd, Assazag, Oued Ed-Dahab, Boujdour, and Es-Semara.
