Harit said that he is madly in love with Morocco.
Rabat – Morocco’s international football player Amine Harit has said that he does not imagine himself exiting the Moroccan national team.
Harit spoke to Morocco’s Arabic speaking news outlet Lakome2 about his aspirations, especially as he continues to impress in the Bundesliga, the German league, with Schalke 04.
Harit has won the German Bundesliga Player of the Month award for September.
Harit said that the stability he experienced after the birth of his daughter gave him full confidence about himself.
He said that despite the “challenges” he experienced with Morocco’s head coach Vahid Halilhodzic, the family stability helped him to regain his impressive form since the start of this season.
“Family stability gave me full self-confidence, so I managed to shine with Schalk in the German championship, despite the difficult period that I lived after the national coach left me out of the Moroccan national team,” he said.
Harit said that he respects the decision of the head coach, but he does not imagine himself exiting the national team over issues with management. He said he is keen to win back his spot in the squad, fueling his determination to shine at his club as a way of gaining the confidence of Morocco’s head coach.

“I am madly in love with Morocco, and I do not imagine myself outside the Moroccan national team, so I strive in the Bundesliga so that I can participate with the team in the camp next March,” he said.
Harit expressed dissatisfaction with Halilhodzic’s decision to not list him on several lineups for important competitions this year.
In earlier comments on his temporary exclusion from the national squad, Harit, speaking to told Canal Football Club, a sports show aired on Canal+ on Sunday, November 10, seemed a little exasperated by the decision.
The 22-year old international said he does“not understand” why he was not called up for the qualifier games.
He said that he heard that the decision was due to “disciplinary problems that did not happen.”
Harit recounted that he contacted the Atlas Lions coach to ask for the reason why he was not selected.
“He told me that there were things he did not appreciate from both my club and myself, about the fact that I had some pain and my club asked me to be careful,” he said.
Harit was among key football players in former head coach Herve Renard’s group. He participated with the Atlas Lions in the 2018 World Cup.
The football player appeared to be confident that he will regain his place in the national team. But it remains to be seen whether Morocco’s Bosnian coach will call Harit up in the near future.
