In just a half-season in the Italian championship, the 23-year-old midfielder’s performance was enough to catch the interest of Napoli F.C.
Rabat – Moroccan international footballer Sofyan Amrabat is set to sign a €15-million-contract on Friday, January 3, to join the Italian club, Napoli for the 2020/2021 season, announced Italian journalist Nicolo Schira via his Twitter account.
Schira tweet that on January 3 there will be “an appointment between the agents of Sofyan Amrabat and Napoli to close the agreement: 1.8 million salary plus bonuses until 2024 for the Moroccan midfielder, who will move in summer in blue from Verona for 15 million-plus 1 bonus.”
Amrabat, who currently plays with Hellas Verona F.C., is on a loan from Belgium’s Club Brugge.
Napoli will pay €12 million to Verona F.C and €3 million to Club Brugge to release Amrabat from his contract.
The 23-year-old player is set to receive an annual salary of €1.8 million free of bonuses from the Italian club.
