On top of the national holidays for Throne Day and other important religious dates, Moroccan schools will be closed for a week at the end of January.

Rabat – The Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education, and Scientific Research has published the calendar of school holidays for the year 2019-2020.
Moroccan school children will have time off from school on the following dates:
- Manifesto of Independence: Saturday, January 11 (one day)
- Winter holidays: from Sunday, January 19, to Sunday, January 26 (8 days)
- Spring holidays: from Sunday, March 29, to Sunday, April 12 (15 days)
- Labor Day: Friday, May 1 (one day)
- Aïd Al Fitr: from 28 Ramadan to 2 Chaoual 1441 (4 days)
- Throne Day: Thursday, July 30 (one day)
- Oued Eddahab Allegiance: Friday, August 14 (one day)
- King & People’s Revolution Day / 1st Moharram: Thursday, August 20 (one day)
- Youth Day: Friday, August 21 (one day)
- Aid Al Adha: Friday, July 31 (two days)
- The Green March: Friday, November 6 (one day)
- The Independence Day: Wednesday, November 18 (one day)
- Aid Al Mawlid: Wednesday, November 28 (two days)
Children attending French schools have a different holiday calendar:
- Return from the Christmas holidays: Monday, January 6
- Winter holidays: Sunday, February 15, to Sunday, March 1.
- Easter Monday: Monday, April 13
- Spring holidays: Saturday, April 18, to Sunday, May 3.
- End of classes for all levels of education: Friday, July 3
