Rabat – Moroccan researcher Farah El Hassani received the Best Oral Presentation award at the Fourth International Conference on Liquid Waste Treatment and Environmental Preservation (TELPE-2019). The conference took place in the Tunisian city of Hammamet from December 20 to 22.
El Hassani, a professor at the Euro-Mediterranean University in Fez, delivered her award-winning presentation on “Water Pollution by Mineral Impurities from Mining Waste in the Tighza Region in the Middle Atlas.” The award recognized her expertise in the fields of water, the environment, and sustainable development, as well as the methodology she adopted for the presentation.
TELPE-2019 is a scientific platform for dialogue and research development in the world. The conference aims to share the latest scientific research results and studies of environmental pollution cases, while faciliating the exchange of expertise between academic and industrial researchers.
During the conference, a number of international experts gave lectures and presented a set of academic and scientific work related to water, the environment, sustainable development, and waste treatment.
In particular, the conference focused on the protection of the natural environment, sustainable development, renewable energy, climate change, pollution control, innovation and technology in water science, water management, and waste treatment.
