Rabat – A fire broke out at gas bottles warehouse in the Bab Leftouh neighborhood of Fez’s ancient medina on Monday night, January 14. The incident caused material damage but no casualties or injuries have been reported.
Fire extinguishers assisted by civil protection elements arrived quickly at the scene and had the fire under control a few minutes later. Columns of smoke and flames in the sky could be seen from a distance.

The fire caused several loud explosions and turned slums, used to store unwanted goods, into ashes, leaving the population in a state of fear.
The police have opened an investigation to elucidate the circumstances of the incident.
