The promising Moroccan football player will stay with Spanish club Sevilla FC until 2025.
Sevilla confirmed the news in a statement on January 16.
The Spanish club reportedly paid €20 million to secure a deal with Leganes for En-Nesyri’s transfer.
“Sevilla FC has reached an agreement with CD Leganes to sign Youssef En-Nesyri,” reads the statement.
A Fez native, the football player will join the Sevilla squad until June 30, 2025, with an option to extend.
The football striker arrived in Sevilla on January 15 to complete his medical test.
En-Nesyri signed a four-year contract with Leganes in August 2018 but will leave before the end of his contract to join the Spanish club.
In February 2019, En-Nesyri gave his football club Leganes the first hattrick in the team’s history in a match against Real Betis.
The 22-year old striker is a key player for Morocco’s national team, the Atlas Lions.
En-Nesryi kicked off his career at the Mohammed VI Academy in Morocco. The football player scored 15 goals in 63 matches in his “year-and-a half- spell at Leganes,” the statement added.
Last season was one of the most successful periods in En-Nesyri’s career.
“He scored nine in 31 LaLiga matches, including a hat-trick against Betis and a goal in Nervión as well. He scored twice in his three cup matches too,” the statement said.
In the current season, the football player scored four league goals and 18 goals in LaLiga matches.
The football player has played 21 matches with the national team in Morocco, and made six goals. His latest goal was against Burundi.
