The perpetrator sexually abused his nieces, who had been trying to avoid their uncle’s criminal acts by using a bunk bed to prevent him from entering their bedroom.
Rabat – The Albacete Provincial Court has sentenced a Moroccan man to 17 years and four months in prison for sexually abusing his nieces.
The perpetrator will also pay a fine of €16,000 in psychological damages.
Spain will also deport the perpetrator, Cope reported on March 27.
The suspect repeatedly physically abused his victims.
The physical abuse charges date back to the first six months of 2016, when the victims were 14, 10, and 9 years old.
When the mother was away, the perpetrator seized the time to “take advantage of the girls touching their bodies, both over and under the clothing, as well as kissing them on the mouth,” the news outlet added.
The two youngest sisters placed their bunk bed against the bedroom door to prevent him from entering.
Spanish media said that it was the oldest sister who reported the crimes on June 23, 2016, to the Civil guard.
The data said that boys are mostly abused between the ages of 11 and 12 by abusers in authority known to them, including sports trainers, teachers, and free-time monitors.
The report showed that girls are mostly abused between the ages of 7 to 9 by a family member.
“There is no psychological profile of sexual abusers. Nobody would say, looking at them, that they are monsters or have any kind of mental illness,” the report emphasized.
