Moroccan international Youssef En-Nsyri has caught the eyes of AS Roma, with reports indicating a potential summer transfer, according to Spanish outlet Todo Fiajes.

Following speculations that En-Nesyri will most likely not play for FC Sevilla next season, the Moroccan international has piqued the curiosity of a number of European clubs.

AS Roma has been on the lookout for more attacking players to fortify the team’s performance. As the club’s management is working for the 2022 transfer market, Roma’s coach Jose Mourinho is believed to have put the name of En-Nesyri on his list.

Roma’s management is ready to negotiate for En-Nesyri with a maximum of €30 million, according to Todo Fiajes. But FC Sevilla is unwilling to let go of the Moroccan for less than €40 million.

En-Nesyri was in impressive form last season and with Sevilla hoping to keep their Moroccan forward at the same level this season, the team turned down proposals of up to €40 million to trade the Moroccan international to top Premier League clubs last summer.

Now, almost seven months into a particularly unpredictable and underwhelming season for the Moroccan striker, his departure from Sevilla looks closer than ever and the Italian capital is a viable alternative for him to continue his career.

However, several Premier League teams such as Newcastle or Arsenal also have the Moroccan on their agenda.

The Moroccan center-forward was in fantastic form last season, scoring 24 goals in 52 games. In January 2021, he won the La Liga Santander Player of the Month award and became the top Moroccan goal scorer in a single season in La Liga’s history.

While En-Nesyri has only mustered three goals in 15 games this season, both his suitors and fans hope the Moroccan center-forward can rediscover his 2020-21 form to again become an impressive player and a reliable scorer.
