Rabat – Morocco’s Policy Center for the New South (PCNS) is organizing the 11th edition of the Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders Program 2022 (ADEL) in Marrakech between December 11-14 this year, featuring young leaders who seek to shape regional politics, academia, finance, media, and civil society.
The annual program brings together influential leaders in the public and private sectors from around the Atlantic Basin and Africa. It is an opportunity to discuss cross-regional issues and encourage intergenerational dialogue by including young influential leaders from different cultural backgrounds and welcoming different perspectives.
Each year, the program convenes 40 to 50 rising leaders, aged 23 to 35, from around the Atlantic Basin and Africa, who have displayed initiative and leadership in their respective fields and a great commitment to social and economic issues in their communities and around the globe.
The program includes structured group discussions and meetings with prominent decision-makers and innovative community leaders on key development and geopolitical issues in the region.
Thought-provoking seminars and workshops are a key component of the program as they encourage leadership, innovation, and critical thinking necessary in today’s complex political and economic environment.
Upon completion of the program, the ADELS join a varied and inclusive alumni community of over 350 members from all over the world, each with a unique and individual story and experience.
According to PCNS, the goal of the program is to equip the participants with fresh ideas and perspectives, deepen their knowledge, polish their talents, as well provide them with tools to apply in their professional careers.
The program takes place two days before the Atlantic Dialogues conference, which the organizers say is an opportunity for the young leaders to network with leading figures from the Atlantic basin.
The PCNS has been holding the event every year since its launch in 2012.
