Rabat – The Arab U-20 Cup draw has placed the Moroccan national team in Group F alongside Sudan and Palestine.

The winner of the first Arab U-20 Cup, the Moroccan team is expected to lead its group.  Last year, the team lost in the quarter-finals against Algeria in the 2021 edition after competing within Group B against Tajikistan, Djibouti, and the UAE.

The draw for the eighth edition of the Arab U-20 Cup took place on Sunday in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, in the presence of the representatives of the featured national teams as well as the director of the tournament Moeed Al-Shehri.

Organized by the Union of Arab Football Associations, the tournament will be hosted by the Saudi Football Association in Abha from July 10 to August 6.

The Saudi team is the current holder of the regional title; they defeated the Algerian team in the final of the previous Arab U-20 Cup in Cairo, Egypt.

Egypt and Tunisia, which were defeated in the semi-finals of the previous edition respectively against Saudi Arabia and Algeria, were placed this year in Group D and E.

Here is the full Arab U-20 Cup draw:

Group A: Saudi Arabia, Mauritania, Iraq
Group B: UAE, Jordan, Yemen
