Rabat – Organized by the Oriental Fashion Show (OFS) in partnership with M Avenue, Maroc Fashion Week’s fashion runway debuted yesterday showcasing the work of Moroccan and international haute couture, caftan, and ready-to-wear designers.
The designers presented their stunning collections and creations during the fashion show which took place at M Avenue’s Meyden cultural center.
11 fashion shows featuring designers and young talents are being held during the fashion week, each one showcasing their works of art and captivating the audience.
The show began with a collection from renowned Kazakhstani fashion designer Hanum Aidash. Her collection “Kumdagy Izder” (Footprints on sand in English) took inspiration from nature.

Aidash said she was inspired by the natural beauty and allure of her homeland’s vast deserts. Using vibrant colors inspired from the sun, grass, and sky, Aidash’s collection is made up of 16 different sets including dresses and jackets.
The Kazakhstani designer’s new collection calls on everyone to care for nature and inspires people to preserve and protect wildlife.
Also featured at the show’s opening was French reality television star Marine El Himer, whose work during the fashion show is inspired by her conversion to Islam.

El Himer introduced a line of Abayas for women who want to cover up while remaining elegant, feminine, and refined. She says her goal is to modernize the Abaya while preserving its authentic and traditional touch.

Like El Himer, Moroccan Italian Zineb Hazim aims to provide Muslim women with clothing that reflects their culture while also incorporating a dash of modernity. She created a collection of abayas using fabrics such as tweed, denim, and jersey cotton, as well as sequins and other embellishments.

Meanwhile, fashion designer Ghita Arbouch presented her brand Gabari.
In addition, the fashion week includes a competition entirely devoted to young fashion designers. Students from various modeling schools are set to showcase their designs in hopes of winning a prize that will allow them to present their designs in the next edition of the Oriental Fashion Show in Paris.
The talented young designers participating in the fashion week’s competition include 21-year-old Franco-Romanian designer Adrian Sas, Palestinian designers Donia Shehade and Rawan Jabarin, as well as Moroccan designers including Karima Meriaf and Nora Squalli.

The competition is jointly organized with the styling and modeling schools Ateliers Chardon Savard (Paris), Escom bel (Fez), and Accademia Di Moda in Nazareth, Palestine.
The Jury of the competition comprises renowned fashion figures from across the Arab world, including Said Mahrouf, Christophe Guillarme, Saher Okal, Olfi Yasmina, Khadija Denia, Marzio Nocera, and Angela Donova
As part of the fashion show, a haute couture fashion show runway will take place today at the mythical Royal Mansour palace, featuring the creations of big names in fashion from several international regions.
