Rabat – Erden Timur, the deputy chairman of Turkish football club Galatasaray, has refuted claims that Hakim Ziyech failed his medical test to join the team.
On Thursday night, Timur said that there has been no problem so far in Ziyech’s health tests, confirming reports that the Turkish club is seeking to secure a deal with the Atlas Lion.
Several reports have claimed that Ziyech failed the medical test required for the completion of his transfer to the Turkish club.
Timour explained that Ziyech’s health tests are almost complete, suggesting that the club cannot completely unveil its transfer strategy as it would reveal its system for both this season and the upcoming seasons.
“However, I can say that we are consistently keeping our options open. We are aiming for another championship in the league and reaching the quarter-finals in the Champions League,” he said.
Fans of Hakim Ziyech have been concerned about the Atlas Lion’s future – particularly amid uncertainty regarding his future and role with Premier League club Chelsea.
The English club refused to give the Atlas Lion a kit number this season, and also left him out of their preseason training camp.
There have also been mixed reports throughout the transfer window on Ziyech – especially following rumors of failed talks between Chelsea and clubs that were interested in the Atlas Lion.
Ziyech is one of the Moroccan national team’s key players, and he contributed to the team’s triumphs during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
