Rabat – Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity has established a central warehouse in Marrakech dedicated to collecting aid for the victims of the Al Haouz earthquake.
Various teams representing the foundation’s partners are working in the warehouse to receive, organize, and prepare shipments of aid destined for the affected areas.
The shipments include contributions from both citizens and civil society organizations from different provinces in Morocco.
The warehouse is part of the ongoing support and assistance provided by the foundation to the residents of the affected villages.
Saad Boulaouiz, the Projects Director of the Muhammad V Foundation for Solidarity, explained that aid is distributed from the central warehouses to local ones.
She also said that there are local warehouses in the Marrakech/Safi region, such as “Tahnaouat” and “Chichaoua,” which play a pivotal role in delivering aid directly to the affected villages.
Boulaouiz further detailed that aid distribution channels include ground as well as air vehicles from the Royal Armed Forces.
The official further expressed deep appreciation for the remarkable solidarity displayed by all segments of Moroccan society towards the earthquake victims.
She stressed that the foundation is operating around the clock, in close coordination and partnership with the Ministry of Interior, the Royal Armed Forces, the Royal Gendarmerie, civil protection agencies, and local authorities, to serve victims of the earthquake.
