Achraf Hakimi and Sofiane Amrabat have earned their places in the prestigious Best XI of 2024 Men’s Football in Africa, cementing their positions as two of the continent’s brightest stars.

Their remarkable performances have garnered global attention, with their dominance in both international and continental football marking them as key figures for Morocco’s Atlas Lions.

This recognition, announced as part of the CAF Awards, stressed the Atlas Lions outstanding contributions, as their names continue to shine on the world stage.

Hakimi, currently triumphing with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has proven himself one of the best right-backs in the world.

Recently extending his contract with the club until 2026, Hakimi’s impact on the field is undeniable.

Widely regarded as the best right-back by many, including Morocco’s head coach Walid Regragui, Hakimi’s speed, skill, and tactical intelligence make him a key asset for both PSG and Morocco.

PSG coach Luis Enrique has frequently praised Hakimi’s growth, noting how the right-back has matured into a more complete player with even greater potential ahead.

As for Sofiane Amrabat, who recently joined Fenerbahçe on loan from Fiorentina, his career has taken a new turn after a challenging period at Manchester United.

Despite the difficulties during his brief time at the English club, Amrabat’s abilities and work ethic remain unquestioned.

Moroccan fans continue to have faith in his potential, believing he has much to offer in the coming years.

His tenacity, leadership, and ability to control the midfield have been vital for both his club and the Moroccan national team, and many see him as one of the finest midfielders in African football today.
