Marrakech – Students from STM School in Fez participated in MOBISCIENCES 2026, an Erasmus Plus-funded international science mobility program, at the University of Toulouse in France on June 3 and 4. The event was organized by CIRASTI – Exposciences en Occitanie.
The MOBISCIENCES program originated in 2015, when the Association des Petits Débrouillards de Fez took part in the ExpoScience Internationale du MILSET.
European Erasmus+ authorities approved the initiative in 2017 through the Fondation des Jeunes Scientifiques du Luxembourg. Five NGOs from France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Portugal, Morocco, and Tunisia now coordinate the program, which facilitates international mobility for young participants carrying scientific projects.

For the 2026 edition, the Moroccan chapter – branded as Printemps des Sciences 2026 – selected 15 grant recipients. Ten are middle school students from the Fez Provincial Directorate of Education, including eight from STM School and two from Oum Aymane school. The remaining five are university students from ENSAF, the National School of Applied Sciences in Fez.
The Exposciences fair gathers young people aged 13 to 25 who have carried out projects with a scientific approach across STEAM themes – science, technology, environment, arts, and mathematics. The format centers on hands-on projects, prototypes, and experiments. It favors practice and collaboration over competition.

At this year’s edition, Moroccan participants presented alongside international peers. The interactive setting allowed students to engage directly with young scientists and educators from other countries. It also provided exposure to different approaches to science education globally.
Looking ahead, the Association FabLab Pédagogique announced it will take part in the ExpoSciences Internationale scheduled for October 11 to 17. Erasmus grant recipients and other participants will be welcome to present their projects, with the event planned to be hosted at EUROMED.

The Fez-based STM School follows a STEM-centered model inspired by the American educational approach to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The school integrates the Moroccan national curriculum with an international framework. Instruction is trilingual, with English at the center of the program alongside French and Arabic.
Its stated mission is to advance sciences in a trilingual setting while broadening students’ academic horizons. The school maintains an average of 25 students per class and an average of 20 years of teaching experience per instructor.
