Rabat – Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech has taken a new step in his ongoing dispute with Wydad AC, bringing a judicial bailiff with him to the club’s Mohamed Benjelloun Complex on Tuesday to document his presence and training arrangements.
Ziyech arrived at the training facility at the scheduled time, accompanied by the bailiff, after receiving a program from the club requiring him to train individually in Casablanca.
Wydad had previously excluded the 33-year-old from the squad traveling to Agadir for a closed preseason training camp. Instead, the club instructed him to remain in Casablanca and follow an individual fitness program under the supervision of a physical trainer.
According to reports, however, Ziyech did not find a member of the technical staff available to supervise him during the scheduled sessions, prompting him to bring in a bailiff to formally document the situation.
The move marks a further escalation in the disagreement between Ziyech and Wydad’s management. What initially involved reported disagreements over contractual and financial matters has gradually developed into a technical and administrative dispute.
According to Radio Mars, the club had sent Ziyech an email instructing him to remain in Casablanca and follow an individual training program. The club’s administrative director reportedly told the bailiff that Ziyech’s exclusion from the squad was a purely technical decision made by the coach. The statement was included in an official report.
The bailiff’s report could potentially become part of the documentation used by Ziyech in any future contractual proceedings, although no formal legal action has been confirmed at this stage.
The situation leaves Ziyech’s future at Wydad increasingly uncertain as the new season approaches, with both sides now formally documenting developments surrounding the player’s status.
