Agadir – Rabat-Sale Airport recorded nearly 1.45 million passengers during the first seven months of 2026, marking a 16.06% increase from the same period last year, according to the National Airports Office (ONDA).
The airport handled 1,446,355 passengers through the end of July, compared with 1,246,221 during the first seven months of 2025, ONDA said in its latest commercial air traffic report.
International traffic accounted for the vast majority of passenger flows at Rabat-Sale, reaching 1,329,327 passengers, up 17.73% year-on-year. National traffic stood at 117,028 passengers.
Airport movements also increased significantly, rising 18.36% to 10,296 movements through July, compared with 8,699 during the same period in 2025.
The airport’s growth accelerated in July, when Rabat-Sale welcomed 228,781 passengers, up 23.17% from the 185,741 passengers recorded in July 2025.
Morocco’s airports maintain strong growth
Rabat-Sale’s performance is part of a broader increase in air traffic across Morocco, with the country’s airports handling 22,282,997 passengers during the first seven months of 2026.
The national figure represents an 8.77% increase compared with the 20,487,074 passengers recorded during the same period in 2025.
International traffic accounted for most of the national total, reaching 19,894,489 passengers, up 8.82% year-on-year. National traffic also grew, increasing 8.36% to 2,388,508 passengers.
Casablanca Mohammed V remained Morocco’s busiest airport, handling 6,953,695 passengers, followed by Marrakech-Menara with 6,407,303. Agadir-Al Massira ranked third with 2,179,857 passengers, while Tangier Ibn Battouta recorded 1,711,764.
European markets continued to account for the largest share of international passenger traffic, with 16,541,007 travelers passing through Moroccan airports, an increase of 9.29% from a year earlier.
