Rabat – The fifth edition of Africa Sports Expo will take place from October 8 to 11 at the Office of Fairs and Exhibitions of Casablanca (OFEC), bringing together key players from Morocco’s and Africa’s sports industries.
Organizers said the event aims to strengthen partnerships between public and private sector stakeholders and support the development of a more structured and sustainable sports economy in Morocco and across Africa.
The four-day event will provide companies, sports federations, universities, investors, and project leaders with opportunities to showcase solutions, discover new innovations, and explore business opportunities in the sports sector.
The exhibition will also serve as a platform for discussions on the major changes shaping the future of African sport. Its opening to the general public during the weekend is intended to promote sports participation by bringing institutions, athletes, and sports enthusiasts closer together.
Sports sector faces rapid transformation
This year’s edition comes as Morocco’s sports sector undergoes major changes, particularly with the country continuing to modernize its sports infrastructure ahead of the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
Across Africa, new projects and changing practices are also creating growing demand for sports equipment, operations, training, financing, governance, and technology.
Against this backdrop, Africa Sports Expo will bring together sports federations, local authorities, clubs, academies, investors, operators, architects, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, brands, distributors, technology companies, service providers, and specialized media.
20,000-square-meter sports city
The exhibition will cover 20,000 square meters, transforming the OFEC venue into an integrated sports city divided into specialized areas according to different sectors and activities.
Organizers expect this edition to feature 180 exhibitors from Morocco and abroad, alongside delegations representing 20 countries.
The event is expected to attract around 35,000 visitors, including 20,000 professionals and 15,000 members of the general public.
The program will combine exhibitions, B2B business meetings, conferences, demonstrations, and sports competitions, giving the event both a professional and public dimension.
Four major competitions
The Arena will serve as one of the main attractions of the exhibition, hosting major competitions, forums, and ceremonies honoring prominent figures in the sports industry.
Four major competitions will be held during the event: Morocco Fitness Cup, Morocco Power Games, Casablanca Padel Masters, and E-Sport Corporate League.
The competitions will bring together athletes, companies, sports communities, and fans, while allowing visitors to experience the sporting activities directly.
Forums to discuss the future of African sport
The second edition of the Africa Stadiums & Arenas Forum will focus on the design, financing, construction, and operation of sports facilities in Africa.
The forum will bring together public-sector decision-makers, investors, architects, operators, and experts to discuss future stadiums and sports infrastructure projects across the continent.
The fourth edition of the National Forum for Empowering Girls and Women Through Sport, organized by Tibu Africa, will also take place during the exhibition. It will examine the role of sport in promoting equality, inclusion, leadership, and economic empowerment.
