Rabat – The 12th edition of Pollutec’s Global Green Event, which will take place in the Moroccan city of El Jadida between September 14 and 17, will mark the national finals of the ClimateLaunchpad Morocco on September 17.
ClimateLaunchedpad is “the world’s largest green business ideas competition,” whose mission is “to unlock the world’s cleantech potential that addresses climate change,” the event’s organizers noted on their website.
The competition targets cleantech entrepreneurs and start-ups with innovative ideas that seek to eliminate or reduce waste and pollution while simultaneously boosting productivity and efficiency.
According to the Global Green Event, the four-day event will offer its participants “the opportunity to explore the latest innovations and to meet a large network of national and international professionals in the environmental sector.”

With the participation of “more than 10,000 visitors, decision-makers and national and international economic actors,” the event will create the best setting for “direct business opportunities,” they added.
Over 300 eco-companies from 14 countries worldwide will be present at the event to offer varied and innovative exhibitions in the field of cleantech, noted the website, arguing that the event will serve as “an economic advantage, a sectoral promoter, a business catalyst, and an investment attraction vector to accompany the economic recovery.”

The event aims to focus on a wide range of areas, including energy, waste management, sustainable development, water pollution, green building, recycling, and polluted sites and soils.
In a bid to “offer a level of reception worthy of the highest international standards,” the Global Green Event chose the Mohammed VI Exhibition Park as a venue for its 12th edition. Covering an area of 29 hectares, the venue “respects international standards in order to guarantee an unequaled quality,” the organizers highlighted.
Co-founded by the European Union, ClimateLaunchpad “offers a new way to link businesses, entrepreneurs, universities, research, investors, and government to address the challenges and harness the opportunities of climate change,” said Ahmed Larouz, the competition’s National Lead for Morocco.
