Rabat – Following Morocco’s decision to extend the air travel suspension until January 31, 2022, the country’s flagship air carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced on December 24 that tickets issued between January 1 to 31 will benefit from exceptional commercial offers.
In a tweet, Royal Air Maroc said, “The Company undertakes to accompany its customers during this period by authorizing the change and refund of international tickets booked.”
The company offers three options for passengers, one of them is “a refund for the amount of the ticket in the form of credit to be used on a Royal Air Maroc flight, valid for 12 months and refundable in cash at the expiration of its validity.”
The company also stressed the possibility of changing tickets from or to the same destination or another destination within the same geographical zone (Africa, North America, Europe, Middle East) for a new travel date during the 15 days following the resumption of flights.
Royal Air Maroc reminded that travelers can reschedule travel dates, free of charge and with no additional penalties for a new travel date between the 16th day after the resumption of flights and October 31, 2022.
Royal Air Maroc assured that it will maintain its exceptional flights scheduled between December 24 and 31.
Royal Air Maroc’s exceptional offers come amid the recent suspension of air travel to and from Morocco until January 31, 2022.
Repatriation flights for Moroccans stranded abroad ended yesterday, December 23.
Morocco’s decision to suspend direct flights testifies to the country’s efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19 and its Omicron variant.
