Rabat – Mouawia Essekeli has been appointed CEO at Wafacash, a subsidiary of Attijariwafa, the Casablanca-headquartered Moroccan commercial and financial bank.
In announcing Essekeli’s appointment, Wafacash suggested it hopes their CEO will continue his predecessor’s work in the restructuration and modernization of the company.
Essekeli is taking over Samira Khamlichi, who has been Wafacash CEO since 2018 and is now retiring from the group.
Prior to his appointment, he was the deputy managing director in charge of financing the Attijariwafa bank subsidiaries.
The Attijariwafa bank group subsidiary gives easy access to cash to its customers in the Moroccan market with fast and secure services.
Wafacash specializes in money transfers all over the world and works with international operators.
