Nabil Ayouch is an internationally acclaimed film director and producer. He was born in Paris to a French Jewish mother and to a Moroccan Muslim father. Over the past 20 years he directed many awards winning films such as his first feature film “Mektoub” (1997) and”Ali Zaoua” (2000). Both films represented Morocco at the Oscars and won over 50 international awards. Other films of Ayouch include “Une minute de Soleil en moins” (2003) and “Whatever Lola Wants” (2008).
In 2010 Ayouch directs his first documentary « My Land » (www.to-myland.com) about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, a subject very close to his heart. In 2012 he directed “Horses of God.” The film was amongst the official selection at the Cannes film festival and competed in other major festivals around the world including the Oscars and the Golden Globes.
